 Lamiya Valiyeva wins gold at Paris Paralympic Games 

On the sixth day of the Summer Paralympic Games in Paris, another Azerbaijani Paralympian competed, AzVision.az reports.

Paralympian and 4-time world champion Lamiya Valiyeva tried her hand at running 100 meters in the T13 category.

She crossed the finish line first with a time of 11.76 seconds. Lamiya sets new world record. The Azerbaijani paraathlete improved the result of 11.79 seconds set by Ukrainian Leyli Adzhametova at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.

At the 2024 Summer Paralympic Games in Paris, the Azerbaijani team won 3 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medals.
